Monday's "'cause My Parents Didn'y Have A Bible Study" Run

I said I was gonna go running tonight. I was really determined to do so. I sent my dad a text before he got home asking him if he wanted to go running when he got home. He said yes he wanted to go but that he couldn't because of his Monday night bible study. Well, when my dad got home his study called and said they couldn't do anything tonight.

So, since my dad's night was now free, he decided to join me on a run. We did our usual 3 mile run, cause we were both coming back from a week-and-a-half from not running. It was a little brutal to start, but nothing a Marine and his son couldn't handle. We made it in around 35 minutes. A little less than 12 minutes a mile! We got to work on that!!

I am going to try and make it out tomorrow, but again I'm just coming back from not running in a-week-and-a-half so I'm not promising anything.

Alright This Has To Stop

I know, I know. I haven't posted in a while. I feel so lazy. With the memorial and the assembly my schedule has been pretty hectic. I haven't gotten out to run in over a week!!! This has got to change!!....

I'm hoping to go running tonight when my dad get's home. So hopefully he'll want to go running after he works out. No...,You know what?? Regardless of whether my dad is up to running tonight or not....I AM GOING!!! I'm gonna make a schedule that I am going to keep rain or shine!

Monday - 3-5
Tuesday - < 6
Thursday - 5
Saturday - 3-5
Sunday (possibly)

I'm going to try my absolute hardest to keep this schedule! And if I don't. chew me out about it. Be like: "Jared, What's the deal??" "Why didn't you do your 5 miler on Thursday??" I'm gonna need as much help as i can get trying to keep this routine. So please people back me up here.

Hopefully you'll hear from me tonight after my run.

Thursday Morning Run + Random Playlist

Good Morning. I'm writing this after my morning run eating a bowl of chili flavored Raman noodles. I realized that since I started this blog I haven't gotten out near what I wanted to, and that's going to change.

I woke up bright and early this morning and ran from my house to the 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike and back. It totaled 6.7 miles (according to google maps) The weather was a little gloomy when I headed out but it cleared up nicely and was very pleasant for the second half of my run. Halfway through my run this guy in a moving van asked me if I knew where Pierce St. was and I told him I had never heard of a Pierce St. in New Boston. and he went on his way. I thought that was a little bizarre.

No dad today so that meant my mp3 came with to provide entertainment to keep me going. The shuffle function is like my best friend cause it always surprises me.

Here's my morning jams

"Blizzard" by Say Hi To Your Mom
"Basket Case" by Green Day
"Anything 'cept the Truth" by Eagles of Death Metal
"Cheap Thrills" by Eagles of Death Metal
"God Send Conspirator" by Coheed and Cambria
"Drivers Ed" by Plan B
"DDT" by Jurassic 5
"Betrayel is a Symptom" by Thrice
"Frost and Front Steps" by Armor for Sleep
"Timberwolves at New Jersey" by Taking Back Sunday
"Pens and Needles" by Hawthorne Heights
"By Birth, Not By Choice" by Operation: Cliff Clavin
"In the Arms of Sleep" by Smashing Pumpkins
"Spare-Ohs" by Andrew Bird
"In a Jar" by Dinosaur Jr.

I'm hoping to get out more and post more about my running adventures.

Sunday's Rainy Day Run

I got home today after gallivanting around Manchester, eating Taco Bell, and hanging out in Newbury Comics, and my dad said, "Hey, wanna go for a run?" And I was like, "Yeah I do." So we got on our sweatpants and our running shoes and headed off into the rain.

We made the first mile in a little under 10 minutes and after that I lost track of time. We got wet, had fun, and didn't feel shame due to lack of exercise...shame on you who didn't join us on our run. You know who you are....

Our mileage came in at exactly 3 miles. Yay us!! Is this a sign that my dad will feel good enough to continue to run with me?? I hope so :)

Early Morning Run and It's Playlist

Alright, so my dad's knee has been bothering him so for a while I'll be running Han style...Solo. Today I woke up and realized I hadn't run since last Thursday and I was like "I can't allow this." I got my butt out of bed made a smoothie put on my gear and hit the road. I made a big loop and ran for exactly 5.5 miles (according to google maps) Here is my run mapped out. Ignore the letters, it was the only way i could get the loop to come up on google maps.

Well, without my dad, runs are pretty lonely. So, I brought my mp3 player along and put it on shuffle to keep things interesting. I liked the mix my crazy robot computer companion picked. Here is my random playlist for the morning run:

"Break" by Jurassic 5
"Apples for the Innocent" by Say Hi to Your Mom
"A Day at the Races" by Jurassic 5

"Complete and Utter Confusion" by Fear Before the March of the Flames

Thursday's Run

Alright, so I (Jared) read somewhere on the internet that it'll help you get motivated to run more if you start a blog about running. So, now I'm here telling you about the runs my dad and I go on. We haven't gone in a while because my father's knee has been bothering him.

Well, last night when my dad got home we decided to go out for a run. Here is a google map thing-a-ma-jig showing our run. We went out for 3 mile run (give or take a tenth of a mile or so) we're not really about exact mileage, we just like going out and running it's a nice feeling.

We'll update this as often as we go running.
